Happy DIY Friday!
A fun and easy DIY idea is to turn the key to you and your husband’s first place into a cool piece of art! This would make a unique and sentimental gift to your husband (or husband-to-be)!
All you need is:
- a copy of the key to your first place together
- white spray paint (or any color that you want)
- 3×5 frame, we chose one with matting
- cute paper(we got 4×6 scrapbook paper from the craft store)
- super glue
We hung the key from a bamboo skewer to get an even coating, but you are only displaying 1 side in the frame so you could do just the front and sides. Spray paint both sides of the key with paint with a thin coat to prevent dripping.
Let it dry for a few minutes and spray a second coat. We hung the skewer on the corner of a box. We needed 3 coats to fully cover, but do as many as you need until you have even coverage.
When it is completely dry, super glue the key onto the center of the scrapbook paper.
Press down to make sure it is secure on the paper.
Put the paper in the frame and you are finished! All that is left is to hang it up!
What a fun way to add color and cuteness to a picture wall!
Happy Weekend!!
