Garden Wedding in Chapel Hill

November 16

Emily and Mike’s big day in October was truly one of a kind. This Chapel Hill wedding took place in a gorgeous secluded garden behind the home of the bride’s father. Between the large cedars and pines and the babbling streams this venue felt like a setting out of a fairy tale.
Makeup Art by Jenny did the bride’s makeup.
The bride and groom took some time to connect and snap a few photos, thanks to Jeremy Lange, before the ceremony took place.
The couple had a sitar player perform background music while the guests were seated.
This statuesque tree was the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom to exchange vows.

Natural elements were even incorporated into the favors. The bride did these DIY centerpieces of potted impatiens which the guests took home as favors at the end of the evening.
Mercury Band from New York set the mood for the reception with their music. A cocktail hour in the garden followed the ceremony before guests moved under the tend provided by Party Reflections for dinner.
Catering Company of Chapel Hill served a delicious Asian inspired menu.
The cake was an angel cake made by one of the bride’s friends.
How creative is this origami cake topper?

This bohemian inspired photo booth was a surprise from the bride’s brother.
After dinner, the wedding party and guests moved back out into the garden for an evening of dancing.

Barn at Val Halla Wedding!

I LOVE barn weddings. I am an expert NC Wedding Planner for barns!

Here are some of the professional pictures from the super talented Nancy Thomas with Nancy Thomas Photo. She took some gorgeous pictures!

Tre Bella Florist did such a
gorgeous job. They were such a compliment to this naturally beautiful setting.
Reverend Kayelily Middleton did a fantastic job and it was a beautiful and personal ceremony!

The bride and groom were making this as much of a Green Wedding as possible. Instead of printing new placecards, they reused the response cards and used twine to hang them. It look so cute, I can’t stand it!! For their centerpieces they had all of their friends collect wine bottles over the past year. It added such unique character to the tables!

How romantic is this picture????

Edible Art did a very nice job on the cake!

There we delicious s’mores late night! Yum-O (thank you Rachel Ray)

Congratulations to such a fantastic couple!!

Gorgeous Chapel Hill NC Wedding at the Barn at Valhalla!

June 15

Yesterday was a hot, hot day and I believe (or I hope) I lost 5 lbs from all my work in the heat! It was a gorgeous day for Lonna and Clay’s wedding at the Barn at Valhalla. It looked amazing during the day, but at night it was breathtaking! Of course these are not professional pictures, I will post them when I get them.

The luminaries led the way to the ceremony site, which took place under a huge gorgeous tree. We had lanterns hanging from it and at night it was amazing!

The bride really wanted a green wedding. She had her friends save all their wine bottles for her to put the flowers for the centerpieces, that were done by Tre Bella. She did gorgeous bouquets also.

They had s’mores out for the guest to make after dinner, the guests loved them!

We turned the barn into the place to be after dinner. We dimmed the lights and had the lanterns lighting the room and of course hundreds of candles!!

Edible Art did a very nice job with their cake.

It was a great wedding for a truly fantastic couple!!!
