Modern American Tobacco Campus Wedding | Suzie + Brandan

We are thrilled to share this gorgeous, modern wedding held at two venues at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, NC.

American Tobacco Campus wedding ceremony in Durham, NC

Suzie, a Director of Marketing, and Brandon, a former NFL player, are a classically cool couple who dreamed of transforming an open air basketball court in the heart of downtown Durham into a romantic oasis filled with tall green trees, white carpet, and flowing draping for their ceremony.

Hip Hop Violinist Josh Vietta greeted guests and ushered the bride down the aisle. Earl Wolfe, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, did their bible verse reading at the ceremony. The space was transformed with all white flooring and wall to wall draping.

Guests moved to the reception at Bay 7, American Tobacco Campus’ historic tobacco mill. There were tall trees covering the metal beams and guests found their way to their tables with neon table numbers. There was a 14 foot floral wall with a neon accent that served as the backdrop to the couple’s introduction and reception.

Table top was a key design element. Clean black flatware and acrylic menu cards greeted guests as they found their assigned ghost chairs. The first dance was a song that was playing in the car on one of their first dates and Brandan was shocked Suzie knew the lyrics to Going Home by Drake.

The bride and groom and their guests danced the night away to one of their favorite bands, The Dickens.

Congratulations Suzie and Brandan!
